Where may I find Grapery® table grapes?

locator iconYou can find our grapes throughout the United States and Canada between July and December. The availability of all of our varieties differs throughout the season. Each grape variety depends largely on their unique ripening schedule, changing weather patterns and environment variables.

The best thing we recommend you to do is to use our store locator and call your favorite local grocer.

How did your grapes get such unique tastes?

We believe this happens by working closely with our breeding partner and using practices that are 100% all natural. We breed for flavor, which is a result of continuous experimentation by mixing and matching a wide range of cross-pollination combinations. Quite frankly, we were stunned to discover a new grape that actually tasted like cotton candy.

CottonCandyThat’s right. We didn’t add any cotton candy flavor or plant any special flavors to make that flavor happen. We were just persistent, innovative and lucky.

Are your grapes organic? Do you use pesticides?

Our grapes are not organic. We do apply pesticides to our vines, however they are composed of materials that degrade quickly and are environmentally friendly. We find organic practices tend to leave farms vulnerable to drought and pestilence. We just don’t believe in that.

Our more modern agricultural practices make every effort to be safe and responsible. It boils down to rigorous experimenting where we add nutritional complexity and nurture the perfect soil biology to strengthen and sustain our vines.

At Grapery, safety comes first. Always. All of our fruit is tested for residues before harvested so they are good and healthy to consume. We also recommend that you wash any fruit or produce you handle before you take a bite.

Are your farming practices sustainable?

farming iconAbsolutely. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do.

Most companies who talk about sustainability but typically only refer to ecological practices. We too have spent years perfecting our agricultural methods (such as adding nutritional complexity to our vines from seaweed-based products) as well as intricate methods (such as nurturing the perfect soil biology). We also believe in the responsible use of crop protections and water resources.

But we believe sustainability goes beyond agricultural practices. Our grapes continually provide the highest quality of flavor, stable employment, and enhance local and regional economies.

Everything we do goes to ensuring Grapery is growing world-class table grapes for you to enjoy.

When are Grapery table grapes in season?

farming iconWe have many unique varieties and not all of them are harvested at once. In fact, we wait until each particular variety reaches its peak of flavor before taking them off the vines and then send off to our retail partners. So the range can really be as wide as July through December. To get an idea of when our varieties are typically available click here to see our Availability Calendar. You can also click here to find a retailer in your area that carries our wondrous grapes.

Are your grapes genetically modified (GMO)?

farming iconNo. Our breeding techniques are conducted with innovative, sustainable farming practices that require no genetic engineering whatsoever.

Despite our unique taste experience, there are no additives or infusions in any of our grapes. They are indeed 100% all natural and just happen to have distinct and delicious flavors.

How do grapes get to the point of being seedless?

FB Seed TraceFirst, you should know that all grapes have seeds.

Once "seedless" table grapes begin to grow and mature, the seeds naturally stop growing at a very early stage. The result is something we call seed trace. These small specks are so soft, they go almost completely unnoticed every time you enjoy one of our grapes.

And because that very small and almost undetectable seed trace is always there, we believe it’s best not to say seedless on any of our packages.

Do you sell plants or cuttings?

The vines we grow are developed and patented by our breeding partner, IFG, and thus are unavailable for sale or licensing. But we certainly thank you for your interest.

How do you get such wonderful and bold flavors from your grapes?

farming iconOur unique and often surprising flavors are courtesy of our innovative farming techniques combined with all-natural breeding practices conducted by our partner, IFG.

IFG grape varietals have been developed over years through natural cross breeding. They are then raised in fields cultivated under ideal growing conditions.

Finally, our grapes mature on the vine until each individual variety has reached its perfect flavor. Each variety is selectively harvested at several times throughout the growing season. This may seem like a tall order, but we’re up to the task. We’ll do what it takes to achieve our surprising flavors for you.

Sometimes when I eat seedless grapes they still have seeds in them. How can this be?

All grapes, even the ones touted as ‘seedless’ varieties, have seeds. Usually seeds don’t grow to be more than a near-invisible trace. But leaving fruit on the vine for longer bouts of time will increase the risk of a harder, more noticeable seed trace.

We do believe it’s important for our grapes to ripen on the vine longer to ensure you get the best tasting, most unique flavor experience possible. It’s a tiny risk we think you’ll find worth it. We also think you’ll agree.

Where do you grow your grapes?

farming iconEach and every variety of our grapes is grown in Kern and Tulare counties in idyllic California. Our beautiful blue skies, temperature, climate and conditions make it ideal to grow grapes this great.

Where may I find great table grape recipes?

farming iconOur plump, juicy grapes already offer world class flavor all by themselves, but we’ve noticed they make wonderful, flavorful additions to many dishes. This, and because we pick our grapes at the peak of ripeness, they're incredible for cooking as well.

Our friends at the California Table Grape Commission have included some great recipes to get you started. They even hold a contest for the best grape recipes. So go ahead and try out these winning recipes!
